Matthew Paez, an Argentine-American tenor, is quickly making his mark in the music world. Growing up in Rochester, New York, he explored music through piano lessons and school choirs before discovering his true passion for vocal music, drawn to its emotive power and beauty.
Following a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Matthew found himself at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Despite initial reservations about a professional music career, his undeniable talent caught the attention of the university's music faculty. Encouraged to pursue his passion, Matthew excitedly accepted a spot in the Vocal Performance program, where he flourished, earning leading roles in operas and gaining recognition for his heartfelt tenor voice.
In addition to his solo work, Matthew finds fulfillment in ensemble singing. As a member of Brigham Young University Singers, he has embarked on numerous tours, sharing his musical gifts across the nation and abroad. As a professional tenor, he has made appearances alongside esteemed artists like Andrea Bocelli, Rob Gardner and Craig Jessop, Matthew remains dedicated to sharing his love for music with audiences worldwide, both as a singer and as a director.
