Blake Wayment
Vice-President
Blake is a founding member of Santos Chamber Singer. Originally from Gilbert, Arizona, Blake currently studies Vocal Performance with a minor in Buisness at Brigham Young University. An accomplished baritone, Blake has extensive choral and solo experience. Recently, Blake was able to perform "Au bord de l'eau" with orchestra at BYU. At BYU, Blake has studied with baritone, Robert Brandt. He has also sung with BYU Singers under the direction of Andrew Crane since 2021. He has travelled to the Baltic States, Spain and Ireland with the ensemble. He also frequently sings with Sound of Ages and The Madeleine School Choir, two of Utah's finest professional choral ensembles. In 2023, Blake was invited to attend the Grammy Nominated Seraphic Fire Professional Choral Institute where he was able to work and learn with artists and directors from the ensemble.
As well as having success in music, Blake has also had success in sales and buisness. He has been a team leader for various companies working in environmental services and solar. Within Santos Chamber Singers, Blake's primarily works to promote the ensemble, connect the organization with the local community, and to faciliate relationship with donors and sponsors. In his free time, Blake enjoys spending time with his wife, spending time outdoors and thrifting vintage clothing. He is also fluent in Swedish and has experience teaching Swedish to Americans.
